The UnCharitable Pledge

I pledge to direct 100% of my charitable giving to organizations committed to creating a society that works for everyone. I will not stand in the way of them spending the funds they need to achieve their greatest dreams. I will focus my attention on impact and ideas, not expenses.

I support these five freedoms for nonprofit organizations:

1. Freedom to compensate people as competitively as necessary to attract the best talent
2. Freedom to advertise and market without restriction
3. Freedom to take great risks in pursuit of growth
4. Freedom to strategize and invest with a long lens instead of short-term pressure
5. Freedom to raise capital to fund the achievement of great scale

I will champion these changes so that the charitable sector can change the world.
